MEASAT's Dr. Ali Ebadi Wins 2013 APSCC Lifetime Achievement Award

Kuala Lumpur, 25 September 2013 – MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn. Bhd. (“MEASAT”) announced today that Dr. Ali R. Ebadi, MEASAT’s Senior Vice President – Space Systems Development has been awarded the 2013 Asia-Pacific Satellite Communications Council (“APSCC”) Lifetime Achievement Award.

Dr. Ali was presented with the award at the APSCC Awards Ceremony held on 24 September 2013 at Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers, Hong Kong. The award recognised his achievements as a world renowned satellite expert, a pioneer of Malaysian satellite industry and a key contributor to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

APSCC Special Award

Dr. Ali Ebadi, Senior Vice President, Space Systems Development at MEASAT was presented with a Special Award by the Asia-Pacific Satellite Communications Council (“APSCC”) at the APSCC Awards Ceremony in Jeju, Korea on September 24, 2008.

The award, which was decided by the APSCC Awards Selection Committee, was presented to five individuals of the “Asia–Spectrum Defense Team” in appreciation of their dedication and devotion to protect and maintain the satellite industry’s spectrum interest in Asia.
