MEASAT is committed to furthering the professional and personal development of its staff. As a result, MEASAT is investing heavily in a series of programs to create a continual learning environment within the organization. This includes;
- Providing our technical teams with access to the latest technology, including training from satellite manufacturers such as Boeing Satellite Systems, Orbital ATK and Airbus Defence & Space
- A company-wide people development program including modules on core skills, competencies and programs on encouraging staff to understand (and benefit from) peoples differences; and,
- Supporting the development of a coaching and mentorship culture within the company.

MEASAT upholds a commitment to the health and safety of all employees, suppliers, contractors and visitors at the MEASAT facilities. To achieve this, MEASAT adheres to a strict health and safety policy:
- Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and all related regulations;
- Ensuring compliance and self regulation by all employers, employees, suppliers, contractors and all parties associated with MEASAT;
- Advocating employee involvement by integrating all work duties with practical health and safety procedures and programmes;
- Supporting all possible efforts to prevent accidents and injuries endorsing the ‘prevention is better than cure’ adage;
- Aiding efforts for continuous improvement in the health and safety standards; and,
- Tracking and enforcing all activities focused on maintaining a healthy and safe working environment

Subscribing to the principles and best practices as promulgated under the Malaysian Code of Corporate Governance and the Listing Requirements of the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, MEASAT is committed to maintaining the highest standard of governance and business integrity.
Towards that end, the Board annually reviews governance measures implemented pursuant to achieving compliance.

Educational Tours
MEASAT seeks to provide an overview of our operations to school children and university students to allow them to better understand and position themselves in high technology careers. Activities in support of this include educational tours at the state-of-the-art facility, career guidance by senior engineers and interviews for thesis.

MEASAT collaborates with colleges and universities to provide a selection of internship programs designed to provide valuable experience to prepare students for professional careers in the satellite industry. As an intern in MEASAT, students can gain competitive edge toward regular employment. Students would also gain a valuable insight for your future academic and career decision based on the experienced gained.
Internship programs at MEASAT are open to full time undergraduate students from accredited universities or colleges.

Through the MEASAT Scholarship program, MEASAT supports top students to study in fields related to satellite communication and satellite communication technology.
Past recipients of the MEASAT Scholarship award have included:
- Ng Jin Aun: MEASAT Scholarship recipient in year 2006. Jin Aun studied at the International Space University, Strasbourg, France. The scholarship was offered to Jin Aun in conjunction with the launch of MEASAT-3, Malaysia’s third and most powerful communications satellite.
- Vanajah Siva: MEASAT Scholarship recipient in year 2007. Vanajah is pursuing a Masters Degree in Quality and Operations Management from the Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden.
Contributions
MEASAT continuously contributes to charity funds and projects to support those less fortunate, and for the betterment of the community.
